Hello and welcome. A quick Goggle shows the plants are available from several of the major companies.

Why seed and not plants? Buy a plant, allow it to fruit, remove the seed from the fruit.

I thought blackberries required the tips to be planted to create roots and you can then propagate from this new plant rather than the seed. I know strawberries have seeds which you can grow from but I've never had success this way with strawberries. Its only ever the runners that work for me.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

I've moved you to 'Grapes' Recommendations' as obviously you can't swap seed and nor have you offered any, so I am assuming you are after buying some.

Has anyone got pictures of their cultivated blackberry plants.

I was thinking about planting one or two on my new plot.

Are they worth it as there are loads of wild ones near me that I pick from most years?

If there are loads locally you might be better using the space to grow something different. However I grow Loch Ness on my plot. One of the biggest bonuses is that is thornless. Also cultivated blackberries generally have bigger berries.

                      Are the flavours different?

I'll have to think about it. I haven't got a final plan yet.

I don't notice the difference in flavour, fresh, frozen or cooked. I grew a thornless one at home but it wasn't as vigorous as wild ones.

Much, much easier to pick though
