  • Homebase Garden Event - 20% off Everything

Couldn't see this anywhere else (apologies if I'm blind...)

Thought it quite interesting though not bought much from Homebase in the past so not sure if it's worth it with the 20% off or whether you can still get better, cheaper stuff elsewhere?

I may be popping in too...........they have J@mie 0l1ver Strawberry growbags @ £2.99 instead of £4.99 for 50l. Sounds like a reasonable price for 50l of compost and with 20% off too = £2.40ish.

I went to two different towns and in both cases there were very few prices on show and apart from the actual compost bags that were printed themselves, there were no signs telling of the offers on some of the product lines.

I was after some of the 40l growbags that were 4 for 3 but there was no mention of this offer and the staff I asked knew nothing about it either. It came up ok on the till at checkout (4 for 3 along with 20% discount) but that's not the point, I have no doubt there will have been other people who may have bypassed these bags simply because they were unaware.

Anyway I got decent (according to the reviews) compost that worked out at around £2.27 per 40L growbag which I thought wasn't bad.

Thank you OP for posting this, I'd have been none the wiser otherwise.
