  • World Autism Awareness Day is today!

If you know one person with Autism then feel blessed because they are very special.

So today I dedicate this post to my son, who at 8 years old has come through so many challenges and will continue to do so.

Love you son, you make my world complete xx

Oh that's lovely! I work with children with autism and asperger syndrome amongst other learning difficulties. They do have a lot of challenges to overcome but they are lovely people

My youngest son has asperger's syndrome which is a form of autism. He was also born a TOF child (Trachio Oesophogeal Fistula) put simply the food pipe is connected to the lungs. As such he had to have major surgery within hours of being born.

He has worked incredibly hard to overcome his problems and despite everything is currently studying for a masters degree in physics. He also puts back into the comunity by being one of the youngest serving school governors in the country. We are very proud of him.

I hope this posting can allow others to see that there can be light at the end of what sometimes looks like a very long tunnel.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.
