  • Whoohoo!!! Finally! I've got a new branch!!

    Hi Guys!

I've been working hard at my current branch now for the last 2 1/2 years, and with the staff cuts and problems of running an older (very large shopfloor) design of branch, the stress has been terrible, bringing me right down, sapping my confidence and making me question whether I want to stay with the company (which isnt like me at all, I usually love my job, and have been doing it for 22 years).

Recently I got wind of an opportunity to move into a much newer branch, 10 miles closer to home (and a lot easier drive, so probably will cut my daily commute time in half to about 25 mins), same wages, same range of stock, similar staff structure, but 2/3rds the size of my current branch, and even better it means I get to work for my old boss, who's the area manager of the local area where I live!

I had him visit me yesterday at work, where we had a good talk, and after taking 24 hours to think about it, I rang him today to say yes! He's looking forwards to having me work for him again, and I'm definitely looking forwards to the move, a fresh challenge and an easier branch to run!

Hopefully I should be starting there mid to late august, it will mean a change to my rotas, but thats a small price to pay to loose the stress thats been turning my hair grey for the past 2 1/2 years!

    Whoohoo!!!
    Blessings
