    What is your name for your Mother and your Father

    What is your name for your Mother and your Father (don't say Parents )

    If you have children - what do they call their parents?

    To start you off, mine are Mum and Dad.

    Just curious. Its to settle a discussion on the Dark side of the Vine (the Mods)

      Mamma och pappa (Swedish)...

      My daughter calls me "But Muuuuum..." most often so when I ask her to do something.

        My parents had to be called mam & dad,our offsprings call us mum & dad,sometimes mom & pops,as do their kids
        sigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of these

            Mom and father!!!!
            He died when I was a teenager but I used to call him dad to his face. Just seemed more respectful to call him father after he'd died.

              Both our kids call me mom and occasionally mommy - when they want something ( they are in their 30s now!)
              They call my OH by his first name or pa.

                  Mam and Dad for me - most welsh valleys say Mam unless ya "possh"

                  Mum and Dad for my kids

                  My OH used to call his Mum an affectionate extension of her name and his Dad, Dad

                    Mam and Dad, end of discussion,if my kids slip up and call the better half mum i demand a reason why

                      Raised by my grandparents so Gran and Pops

                      Our kids call us mum and dad and our 3 grandkids call us Ma ma and Ba ba

                        ^^^ ha!..that reminds me when my son was just learning to talk, he called his grandma 'mamog' cos he couldn't pronounce grandma!
