  • What have you done#?

On the back of Janeyo's great thread 'what have you never done' and in the same vein - What have you done? just the things you are pleased as punch at having done!

    one of mine......

I got hoisted (Ellen Mcarthur style) up a 90+ foot boat mast that was on an open 60 ex round the world racing boat! while moored just of the Isle of Wight I am very frightened of heights! Mr HF was on the 'grinder' doing the winching!!!! it was BRILLIANT but soooo scary.

Wow!, mine are very minor by comparison:

I was presenter on an in-house TV programme at college. The course leader wanted me to do more, but modesty got the better of me. I could have been a newsreader on national telly by now (darnit!!). But I'm still dead chuffed I did it in the first place.

Designed and planted a garden at work - so cool of my boss to let me do it.

Not quite! lol We were living in a caravan at the time. 4 children sleeping at t'other end and me and him on a let-down bed in the kitchen. It was early hours of the morning, bucketing down with rain and I was bursting to go. The toilets were about 100 yds away so in desperation I foraged in the cupboards to find a bowl or something. Well, you can guess the rest. When I kept missing said bowl and wondering why the floor was flooded I realised by stupid error. I just screamed out with laughter and fell into the puddle. By this time the kids had run in to see what all the commotion was about.

I will never ever live it down. This story is recounted over over again much to my embarrassment.
