  • what on earth is going on?

sorry folks gonna have bit of a rant.

Last night at 8 o'clock I picked my 15 yr old son and his mate up from his youth club, well the long and short of my rant is that we were attacked by a group of lads ranging in age from about 13 to 16/17? I was smaked in the face and my son is now modelling a cut cheek and black eye. We then spent a good 2 hours in the police station making statements. Poor lov's got an exam this morning, i'm quite shaken and not sure if i can face work as i've been up all night (what makes it worse is that i work at a school so will be surrounded by lads of this age)

I just can't believe that this has happened and i can't even walk to fetch my son at 8pm on a sunday evening..........is there no respect left in this country or have we just breed a load of thugs, what is going on, in my day you wouldn't even look at another kids parents in 'the wrong way' let alone have the gaul to hit them and egg your mates to thumping the kids..

sorry, just tired, stressed and bl@@dy furious

OMG, I am so sorry to hear what has happened to you and I'm furious for you. Kids are brought up now to have no respect, it's disgusting. I'm sending you big (((((hugs))))). You take care of yourself and your son.

      Big Hugs Mrs Wadders.
So sorry to hear this has happened to you. Sadly a minority of disrespectful nasty little beeps give all teenagers a bad name.
I really hope the police treat this with the severity it deserves!

Oh my gosh - what on earth?

You poor thing you must be terribly shaken and extremely frustrated not being able to do anything. I'd be furious too.

Can only send you some big hugs and hope that karma gets them; as even if the police do they are pretty powerless these days to do anything about it.

They probably will, but the bloody courts won't Which is why it keeps happening.

What a disgraceful thing to happen! It is a pity there seems to be a number of parents who don't appear bothered by what their children are up to.

Hope you and your son recover your equilibrium soon xx

Sadly, it's now the minority who are respectful. My SiL teaches in high school, and the children just tell her to F-Off if she asks them to do anything at all. There are no sanctions: expulsion isn't a threat, it's a badge of honour. Detention doesn't work, they just don't turn up, and you can't force them to.

The parents have to be tackled: and adults (all of us) should probably treat each other with more respect too. Less swearing, less road-rage, remember our Ps and Qs. Set a good example (the psychs call it 'modelling').

So sorry for you both. I'm afraid scum breeds scum, there are people out there who absolutely should not be allowed to breed! I believe that the majority of kids are brought up properly and its the minority causing the problem. I was very amused to hear the story on the news about the transvestite who kicked the living day lights out of his scum attackers! Lets see more of that! Guy needs a medal for bravery!

Hope you soon feel well enough to face the world again. The *insert expletive* little oiks will I'm sure, receive their retribution - maybe not straight away, but one day.

So sorry to hear this. My son and his friends were beaten up on his 18th birthday back in May. No wonder you feel so shocked and angry, I was enraged. Big hugs to you both.
