  • What does your seed box look like?

We all have one, if not many, I have a few! What does your seed box look like, just wondering, because we are always rooting around in them! Here's one of mine, a good old shoe box crammed full, maybe should have took the lot out to show you how many lol! It's not only me is it who suffers from the compulsion to collect these is it? This one has loads of little packets stuffed at the bottom also, I'm not sad or mad am I?

No your not sad or mad. I`ve still got some seeds from 3 years ago when we moved to our new house with a bigger garden. They still sprout so I will carry on using them.
I keep my seeds in a plastic box by the dinning room window, where my seeds are growing.

I have a wooden bread bin, crammed full with seeds and divided with bits of card, so the ones for indoor sprouts are seperate. It was nicely sorted, but it's all higgledy piggledy now, because I'm not so organised as to put stuff back properly once I've planted
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

I just recently had to abandon my old shoe box, it was so crammed full I couldn't get the seeds out!! Have now got a nice shiny proper seed tin with real dividers!!!!! However, it's two thirds full already!

Mine's a little wooden chest about the size of a big bread bin - and it's pretty full.

That's the best excuse I've ever heard for buying Roses/Quality Street

I agree with Hans mum - I have a quality street tin! Not as full as yours though Mrs C.

I'd take a pic but I move house (and gardens) on Monday and dont know where the camera is...

i have a box about 5 inches x 8 and it's not full lol ........ got rid of loads of seeds that i grew last year but wasn't overly impressed with, so this year i'm sticking with staples .... carrots parsnips onions leeks and spuds, squash courgettes and things for pickling.... and a few trials of other stuff i like ........ i must not have ocd, though i have got 27 raspberry plants though i do keep looking in case theres summat i fancy, will probably change when i get a lottie though

I have commandeered two of the wife' plastic tubs, housing about thirty packs in each. Most of them have been gleaned from the front of magazines!
Am I the only one finding a lot of free tomato seeds lately?

I have two roses tins, one for veg and one for flowers, I also have a plastic tub at the lottie with seeds that I will sow straight into the ground.

I have a plastic container with lid, and about the size of a small bread bin. Totally full and can't get lid on. I have loads and loads, as I cannot resist buying seeds, even when I have no space for them! Quite tidy though, and have my gardening diary and a few bits and bob in there (including the marker pens my Secret Santa bought for me!).
