  • What are all of our occupations?

    I do voluntary work at a local charity just a couple hours a week and the rest of the time im a housewife.

    I am/was a qualified hairdresser and nail type person but due to my M.E i had to give up both and after 3 years of having to rely on my husband to help me with a lot of things im finally getting back into the swing of things

    So what do you all do?

        I take it all, mounds and mounds of poo from a lovely bunch of managers.

        I try to squeeze a bit of programming inbetween the catching of all their offerings too!

                Downsized job now in admin in medical education......... just got a contract until just after my bus pass and the end of the SHA. Hopefully, I can hang on after that.

                Before that I was on street corners talking to strange men....... with a clipboard. Well that is how it began. 25 years on I had moved up the chain a bit.
                Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.

                            Was a housewife, now, thankfully, a house mum but looking to get back into working with people with learning disabilities....am checking my Emails daily and actually starting to worry that my techno disabilities may have meant the application didn't go through. Why does everything have to be online nowadays?

                              Born into a Circus family sooooooo;
                              From age 8 to 33 Acrobat, Tumbler, Trapeze Artist. 33 onwards an Illusionist Then also in Circus Concessions Manager, Front of House Manager, Wardrobe Mistress and Box Office Manager. Stopped touring in 2005 & worked as a 'customer service operative' [Co op checkout ] for a while. Since 2005 I work in a Theatre Box office & Tourist Information for a local council.

                              The thread that still runs through life is costume & all sorts of sewing really. I have designed and made costumes for Circus, cabaret, burlesque since I was 17 [now 50!] At the moment I am upholstering the auditorium seats in the theatre, making a black lace gown and ordering lush velvet and gold fringe for entrance drapes of a circus.
