  • Well! I never would have thought.....

......I was a perfectionist but after having cut in a 13ft wall with a 1cm paintbrush (twice actually ) because it gave the best finish, I suppose I must be

What have you recently learnt about you that others have known for years...

I'm useless at decorating so I tend to just knock the wall down rather than paper/paint it!

I'm not a completer finisher by nature - so every time I actually finish something I feel fantastic. I learnt it on a team working session, and went promptly out at the time and hired a completer finisher to mop up all the things I got bored with but had to do.

Nowadays; I have got alot better at it! I actually plan in the final bits of things!!!

I did that the other week, with an artist's brush. I was dreading the cutting in, but it was actually quite therapeutic, and my hands weren't as shaky as I thought they were

That's one of my jobs for today...the second coat of black paint to hide the newly rewired bits. (I quite enjoy it! saddo)

I've discovered that I must be more interesting to talk to than I thought. I've done that Belbin questionnaire thing and I was a reflector and a mixture of implementer and completer finisher. The reflector part means I sit back and ponder and don't say much - which was really true. It's a confidence thing for me but in the last few months i think I've taken huge steps forward.

i have always found it is better to use the biggest brush for the space, and then angle it to get a really straight edge or line. and a short handle is better than a long handle, so if you are lining, it helps cut the handle off short

Like your style Mr Snadge. However said painted wall is an external one, a little too chilly for me this time of year to have outside living inside
