    This weeks Grow Your Own Drugs

    Hi

    Can anyone help me. I just wondering what sort of witch hazel tree James was planting this week.

    I have tried to do some searching on the web but have not come up with anything helpful.

    Hi Pukka Tukka,
    I was just watching the programme on iplayer & remembered you asking about the tree. It was a hamamelis virginiana which I think you should be able to get hold of easily, it's the common yellow flowered type. The other plant he put in the gel was a scented leaf pelargonium 'Old Spice'.

      While we're on this programme, anyone know which honeysuckle he used to make the jelly?

        The one he grew in his garden was Lonicera japonica but I think any kind of common or garden honeysuckle would work.
