I read exactly the same article in a magazine on holiday - can't remember which one but know it was one of the ones aimed at women which I don't normally touch but there was a serious lack of any decent gardening / cooking ones at the airport. I have always enjoyed drinking vast quantities of water (usually refill my 0.8l bottle about 4 times a day at work plus whatever I have at home) but would never dream of buying the bottled stuff and do like a cup of tea now and again too.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

I agree with most of the article, I don't drink 'water' as such but I do drink milk, fruit juice & tea & I haven't keeled over or shrivelled up yet!

I remember once drinking bottled water and feeling very good about myself and very righteous because the particular provider gave £1 to a water charity in Africa for every litre purchased.
Then I realised that that particular bottle I was drinking from had been refilled from the kitchen tap - and not just once, I'd been using it for weeks. Oooops!Comment

I used to buy bottles of water, basically because I believed it was better for me than tap water, (and I had read numerous articles to that fact.) I dont particularly like the flavour of tap water - chemically.
and I do worry about the amount of limescale in it - looking at the inside of my kettle etc.
So, now we drink tap water, better for the environment etc, but I drink much less water than I used to. My DD however has always drunk water, and doesnt drink anything else (squash, coke, etc etc) -except the odd hot chocolate when strictly come dancing is on.

You surely only need what you need! I.e. if you feel thirsty you need water, if you don't, you don't.
I drink only water(well, and the occasional gin and tonic) but I rarely drink more than two glasses a day.Comment

Very readable.
We have filtered water and if we go anywhere on a long journey I will fill up an empty bottle to share. Saves buying fizzy or fattening or expensive drinks en route.
Just think of all that pollution/landfill of empty bottles
