  • Walking on the lawn.

During lunch break I walked over to my raspberry and blueberry plants. Got about a half handful of each type of berry. Mmmm! Had a few sweet cherries last week. I have a bunch of pears ripening on 1 tree.

Plants are just beginning to produce this year.

    'life is good'

I'm with you DW it's nearly 9pm here in the UK all doors and windows in house open and I'm registering 26c in the lounge, there is a small breeze blowing through the patio doors, I'm sat in shorts and strappy top enjoying the 'gusts' as they waft through the house.

My onions seeds that I was so late planting this year are actually stating to bulb, thanks to the nice weather, my melons are enjoying this warmth, my runner beans are at last starting to produce beans...

I make a daily effort to connect with the earth and walk barefoot on the grass (as it's not wet!!!) and I'm savouring every moment x

Got back from the veg plot around 8.30pm last night and spent a while in the kitchen prepping a cauliflower, a cabbage and some onions (that had bolted) for the freezer. before that an hour of intensive watering (no hosepile allowed). All very satisfying, and yes DW life is good.
