OK, so who overspent on the Secret Santa

I have just had a turtle mat, RHS design, delivered to my name, my address, nothing to pay.
What prizes were on offer in the competitions? I haven't been told I have won anything, and although I have been a member of the RHS for ages, I don't remember anything about a free gift. So here I am, with an RHS design turtle mat, worth £44.95 plus £4.95 p&p , with no idea who it came from or why I've got it, or who to say thank you to.
It must be mine though, it says on the address label
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

I think they are doormats that "trap" dirt? I think they are specially made to collect more dirt when people wipe their feet. They are machine washable too but they lose the edges after a few washes.

how lucky to have one sent to you for nothing Barleysugar. Well done for ?winning?

High Quality doormats. They are supposed to be super absorbent, the catalogue with it says the 'mud, dust and wet stays on the turtle mat'.
Perhaps it will stop all the little paw prints from my cats over my laminate floor. I have seen them advertised on those flyers that come in garden mags, you know lovely things to look at, but too expensive, at least for the likes of me

Our limit is £10 per pressie, and some I think probably go for £5 so I don't think that's likely. My big pressie for OH has already been delivered, and he should know better than to get me a doormat anyway
Must be a prize I would think, but from where? I did wonder if it was a mistake, but definitely my name.

How's the ankle? Silly question, I remember doing mine 4 years ago, 3 breaks + surgery. Just take care and follow all the advice to the letter so it has the best possible chance to mend without problems. Best Wishes, Ann

For those who are interested, today I got a letter, telling me I had won a Turtle Mat in The Kitchen Garden Mag Dec Competition. I have only visited their site the once, so not bad going. With a £10 gift voucher for T&M from here, and this prize, nice run up to Christmas.

                    Well done you!

I had one - They're excellent for keeping paw prints out of the house

Unfortunately, no good for engine oil and grease from OH work boots

I will get another, when I have the dosh!
