  • tree o'clock - world record attempt.

    anyone else doing this, I picked up a couple of hazel saplings whilst in Homebase this morning.

    BBC - Breathing Places - Tree O'Clock

    and i have pledged to plant these on saturday.

    What a good idea!I have some little oaks, ashes , hollies and hazels to plant as a hedge, will do it then.

      I like that, what a great idea. I have a few Oaks, but I'm saving them until we get a place of our own, so I'm afraid they'll stay in pots for now.

        Maybe I'll plant my Acer then. Hope it still counts, as a non-native species, oops!

          I've got a couple of apple trees to put in at the allotment, they might just as well go in then Just hope the weather is kind...

            forgot to mention that in homebase the saplings were free,
            they had

            hawthorn
            maple
            hazel
            silver birch
            + 1 other that I can't remember
            Kernow rag nevra

              Have just joined in with our pledge from New Zealand Mind you, our place is full of trees already but I'm sure we can find enough space to squeeze one more in.

                  I think the one you can't remember was Rowan, I've picked up a hawthorn from local garden centre. They are giving them away free also.
