I'd have run a mile - where did they go?

Don't think we've got meeces in ours, not with ten cats in the vicinity. I love the slow worms though - so pretty!

When I emptied one of mine last weekend I found an empty nest, but no occupants. I wonder if they got wind of my intentions and moved to the next bin
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Of course, they're more afraid of you than you are of them (that doesn't apply to me) but cue my favourite smiley:

I've been moving things around on my new plot the compost bins have been disused for sometime
and have been over grown with ivy

I've had a problem with mice eating my shed and everything in it
now I know where they came from

it took a few seconds for me to figure out why the ground was moving
                            around my feet ?

most of them went into the dry stone wall under the shed and into the long grass.
one was just sitting on top of the compost heap looking at me !!

I've been back today for a poke around

                            No mice

my mp3 headphones have been eaten ahhh

Surely better to take cat and put into compost bin as a precaution?

                              :-)
