  • Today I MOSTLY Laughed Out Loud, because....

Trousers didn't bring me a mug of tea in bed this morning.... But that's not remotely to do with why I burst out laughing later in the day, and I kind of feel now like a bit of a Ronnie Corbet, with glasses, but with slightly longer legs. And I'm sat here, talking to you affectionately, if I might....

So. The very first of these MOSTLY STORIES (that are yours'n'mine to share and contribute to) involves Wellie coming down the stairs in bare feet, into the back garden, and Trousers pointing out that she has a Flea on her foot.
Given that we haven't kind of got much carpet in The Funny Farm, it's got to either of come 'off the cat' or 'off the grass', so Wellie investigates.....

For the very first of our stories here, I'm going to keep this short.
Not 20 seconds later, I combed my Gardening Cat to catch and drown the fleas.

    I didn't find a single flea.
    I found one adult greenfly.

High Five BC! You are truly my very own Gardening Cat darling, and I love you, love you, love you!

Sadly, Wellie they have moved on from the cat and have decided to incubate somewhere else. Trouble is - where is that somewhere else? Who knows. So, even if it is not the cat's fault, it is probably best to put the dreaded flea medication on the cat. Why? Because the fleas will prefer the cat to everywhere else - so the cat is the best mobile flea extermination machine you can get.
At least, that's my theory! It has worked for 20 years and 3 cats for me!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

some years ago 3 kittens arrived from their previous home, a tall glass of water drowned the lot (fleas that is).

Some 4 years on the cats are doing fine (even the hens don't dare have fleas)

I'm afraid I laughed out loud when I got home from the lottie, five mins away from the end of the game and saw the score......it was my mind making sense of all the miserable burly blokes I saw sat on their doorsteps having a ciggie when I'd have thought they'd be inside cheering on their team
Watch out for any beastly little nests.....when our long departed Jasper had fleas I thought I'd done a grand job of getting rid of them all....til I went to my tops drawer(his favourite sleeping place)and found a rather gruesome pile of squirming larvae
                Lots of Love,xxx
