Commiserations to your OH, and to you - you'll have to think of something to cheer him up/take his mind off it.

        Thanks Both!

Ollie, that's a glimmer of light, I'll tell him that hopefully he'll see its not the end of the world.

The key difference being that my dad probably passed his HGV when you had to have a man with a flag walking in front of it

Take him home a big hug and a tipple to commiserate.
It's never nice to fail an exam of any sort so it will be your job to cheer him up.
              Good luck.

                  Good luck.
I had to have a tipple for him as he don't drink My head is sore this morning.

He had calmed down quite a lot be the time I got home so everything is fine and retest is booked.

Oh dear...they say the best drivers fail the first time

I have to say though, that to watch an HGV driver manipulate those huge vehicles round bends backwards and between narrow gate posts/entrances always makes me stop and admire their skill.
                      Good luck on the retest!!
