  • Telephone/tv/internet service

Just received my bill ------ Gulp.

With my better halfs old folks presently in respite care for one and rehabilitation recovery for the other, she's been on the phone a lot to her brother. Initially I told her daytime just to use my contract mobile and use up some of my 500 mins per month of which I normally only use a fraction. I also told her that in the evenings we have free calls so just to use the landline after 7.00pm.

eeeek I thought it was all calls after 7.00pm and weekends but it turns out mobile calls arent included and she's been calling her brother on his mobile. We're with BT.

What sort of call deals do you guys have. I'm really only looking for times for free calls and types of calls included for your provider. Any info gratefully received.

I have a Mobile account with Unlimited Calls, I only use the land line once in a blue moon for making calls out, it's mainly used for incoming calls.

If you're looking for a mobile with unlimited calls, find out what company gives you the best coverage, where you need it. They all offer packages with unlimited calls. Chose the best one out of those with the best coverage for you

BT Unlimited Anytime calls - no idea how much it is without goggling but you pay a bit more.

Calls to mobiles are half price.
I don't use a mobile phone except on PAYG.

                Roughly,
an unlimidted plan ( talk 24/7) should be roughly £7 a month from any of the major suppliers.
If you use your landline a lot, grab the unlimited offers, worth their weight.

The Talktalk landline anytime calls covers both calls to both mobile and landlines. It costs £10pm.

Have you tried Skype or one of the other many Voice Over Internet Protocols? I speak to a cousin in Australia for free.

Before you change provider look at all the little things like call blocking, caller display, voicemail and what's covered by free calls. I was thinking of changing to Virgin recently until I found they charged for things that were free on Talktalk and those monthly charges soon add up!

We use virgin media - tv, broadband and phone package. There isn't any extra charges for the phone calls you make so when you choose quick package you want that's it-you know what you are paying upfront with no hidden extra costs.

They never mentioned the £2.25 each extra for caller display and call barring in their monthly mailshots. That's £53pa for something provided free by others.

                          Have a look athttps://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/

Deals vary with areas and frequently change. This is getting like gas and electricity, a minefield of hidden charges!
