Why don't they tuck in at the back? I buy them as long as I can; in fact if I see a long t-shirt in a shop I'll make a beeline for one but they are never long enough.

I don't like having a cold back, and although I love my thermals can't wear them every day.

Is this just me? I'm sure when I was younger I didn't have this problem.

I like short tee shirts in summer, but in winter I need layers that are tucked in starting with my vest.
    Location....East Midlands.

The only ones that stay tucked in for me are ones that are specifically designed for a larger chest. The others just don't have enough fabric in the front and so they kinda pull it from the back. Men's XXL size are just about big enough for me, and cheaper than ladies

Me too, In winter I buy my t.shirts from the men's department, there the only ones that seem to keep my back warm, when I do find a ladies t.shirt that fits it tends to be a lot more expensive, its ridiculous.

I don't actually like tucking mine in but do like them to be long enough to cover my bum...like you,I really struggle to find them that long now...also,they all seem to be snug fit.

Where have the baggy long Tshirts gone?(& I don't want to have to buy mens!)

If you have a Trespass store near you go and buy base layers (aka thermals), two boxes for £25. In a box you get the top and bottom (aka long johns) The tops tuck in nicely so no gaps.

Exactly Di - during the 80s I'm sure that long t-shirts were around. What happened?

I don't like to tuck in but when on the bike or lottie planting stuff out, the back wafts about and I get chilly. It's not nice!

I like the sound of trespass base packs.

It's worth paying a visit to Lidl tomorrow.

They have thermal sports tops at £12.99 and the matching thermal longjohns at £9.99.

Got them last year and they are the bee's knee's.

Have a look round outdoor equipment shops, or surf the net. Many T shirts and thermals for walking and climbing are made with a 'scooped' back, ie they're longer at the back than the front

I've got about 5 Hackett (male) polo shirts (XL) cost me an arm and a leg about 15 years ago (£60 each) wear on average 2-3 times a month and are still good for another 15 years I reckon. They go down past my bum, they are definitely my favourite tees, second fave are cotton traders

Problem is, I don't want them XL wide...just long.

Even the 'longer length' ones in M&S aren't all that long.

I always always have to have my t-shirts taken up!

I can't be doing with them hanging around my butt, but need a larger size to get all the top lady bits in
