  • Is summer bringing out the romantic side

My eldest had his 6th birthday today and for his treat he was given the choice of eating out in several places for his sins he chose a Macdonalds (you have to forgive him, he at that age where he thinks they are great even if daddy hates them) whilst driving to the dreaded restaurant we noticed four different men within a very short distance each carrying a dozen red roses, both my OH and myself had different ideas why they had them.

    1. This weekend has some romantic significance that we didn't know about and tommorow I will have to rush out to get some flowers because I just remembered

    2. They had all been up to something and were apologising by saying it with flowers

    3. They are going to be named and shamed in the local news paper for something (I'm guessing curb crawling but just a pure guess) and they think by taking their OH away for a romatic weekend their OH might not find out

    4. They were apologising in advance that they will be in the pub this weekend because England are playing tommorow. In our household it would be the other way round as my OH is the football fan.

    5. They have been invited to a stag night by one of their less desirable friends and to bribe their OH they will treast them to flowers a dress and a Take Away. (no Ginger it's not me having a Stag Night just yet)

    6. A local elderly spinster has won several million on the lottery and they are seeing if they are marriage material to get their grubby fingers on her money

of course it could be that they are really romantic and for no reason what so ever they have got them a dozen roses because they can but as I don't read Mills & Boon i'm sure thats not the answer.

lets just hope I didn't forget something imprtant, I think i'm safe as my OH usually subtlety writes things on the calendar, then underlines it, then put arrows arounds it, then a week before brings it to my attention so I don't forget. Just incase I might just google the date and see if i'm wrong

If a plum tomato breaks the law when it’s young
Would it’s criminal past ketchup with it later?

What if it was a local florist/garage forecourt/supermarket selling off the flowers cheap, and they all walked past the same one?
