    Me I mean.

Took boys to a brthday party today. Somehow or another Ieft my handbag on the ROOF of the car. And drove off.

I remember putting on there while I strapped boys and party bags in the car. I have never put it there before. Stupid.

I am hoping it may have been handed in somewhere tomorrow and will check. But not looking hopeful as I rag my phone which was of course in the handbag and it's now off.

Lost my phone, purse, card wallet, make-up. Included £40 cash and lots of photos of my childen.

Very upset. How could I have been so STUPID?!

OH not helping, making comments like 'well that turned out to be a really expensive party'.

    What am I - STUPID!

Sometimes we all do "Stupid" things, but at the end of the day they are not stupid things, just things that we do,, I really hope you get it al back, but if not credit cards can be cancelled, phone can be blocked ( You did regiter it ? ) and £40, well its just one of those things.
So long as the kids had a good time, you are OK, everything else is material, and can be sorted.

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate time, but I am sure everything will be ok eventually,, oh and as for the make up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you dont need it anyhow,, makeup is for really really really ugly people,, .

OH is cross cos the bag was leather and new for xmas as was the purse.

Next time I will ask for plastic stuff then if I lose it it won't matter cos cost peanuts.

I hate to thin someone has rifled through it and looked at my things. Makes me feel a bit creeped out, especially as there are photos in my purse and on my phone of my family.

Maybe I'll stil get it back.

Oh I'm so sorry - that's a horrid thing to happen. It may be only 'stuff' but it's still upsetting. I had my handbag taken from our car years ago (we'd gone for a walk on the moors) and whilst it only took hours to get over losing the bag itself, money etc., they took my favourite piccie of my father when he was 19 years old, really old little snap that I adored (he died when I was 16) and I still wish I had that photo.

In another Rhona Get Stuff Nicked episode, we went surfing one day, and left our wetbag at the pub (stopped off for one). Someone took it, and the next day we found my bikini and wetsuit chucked in a ditch at the side of the road - flung out of a car (no-one wants a girl's wetsuit!). I don't why that upset me, but it did! I do totally get what you mean about someone going through your things - it's a horrible thought. Anyway! It hasn't been stolen yet, fingers crossed! I SO hope you get it back. Most people are good and kind so you might. Let us know! xxx

(((((hugs))))) to you. I know exactly how you feel. I left my bag on the back bumper of my brand new car a few years ago. As I drove away a group of kids were waving at me and I stupidly thought they were admiring the car - it was an import, and the only one of its kind in our area - it was only when I got home I realised what I'd done. My bag contained not only my purse with over £200 cash in it, but my company cheque book and paying in book, a huge wad of receipts & invoices that I was supposed to drop off at the accountants, my mobile phone and my digital camera. I was gutted. I drove back the exact route I'd taken home hoping to see my bag lying at the side of the road but no, nothing. I called into Tesco to see if anything had been handed in there and no nothing. I popped in the garage to get a bit of diesel, and mentioned what had happened and how stupid i'd been. The girl behind the till asked what colour my bag was then pulled it out from under the counter!!!!!! The kids that had been waving madly at me had picked it up off the road and handed it in to the garage - with everything still inside it. I asked if they'd left a name or address so I could thank them and maybe give them a little something, but no, they just handed it in.
Fingers crossed yours turns up safely for you.x

I don't think it was stupid at all. You were probably in a rush, several things on your mind and not wanting to be late. Which one of us hasn't misplaced something at one time or another. Hope you get the bag and it's contents back, but if not I'm sure it's a mistake you won't make again.

How upsetting for you Janeyo. But don't blame yourself. We've all done things like that - especially when trying to do 4 things at the same time. Yes , we can multitask, but it just means each thing gets done less well.
Don't give up hope. You might get it back tomorrow. There are plenty of good people out there. And have a look round the route you took. The bag might just be lying at the side of the road.
If it is gone, it's a real bummer cancelling all those cards and things and waiting for replacements. I know when my husband lost his wallet we were still sorting things out months later.
I know it's all a pain, but we are talking about things. Nobody is dead and nobody is dying. It helps me to think of problems that way. Hope it helps you - and you get your bag back.
Remind OH that you're both there to help and support each other. That's what it's all about.

Certainly not stupid, we all do things of that ilk but just normally get away with it, you are merely unlucky.
Hope your things turn up, especially your photo's.
                        Good luck

Many years ago when I was living in GermanyI left my wallet in a payphone in Dover ferry terminal. About 6 weeks later I had a call from a friend (Dutch army) who said that a French policeman had called him because he had found my purse and this friend's number was the only phone contact detail (my bank cards and army ID card had no phone no). The purse was found in a bin in Bordeaux. Nothing other than a few pounds were missing, even the German money was still there!

With any luck it may still turn up, even if it is minus the cash and phone - some children may have found it (with no use for bank cards and your house keys etc) and chance their luck for a reward.

If you know where you last had the bag go back and have a walk in the field each side of the road my son took old gal marley out one day and whist they was away from the car it got broken into and her handbag and binocular's were nicked out of the boot .
Any way they reported to police and walla 6 week's later the police rang up the handbag was found in a field minus the cash out of the purse it was found by a combine driver .
So you never know your luck it could have gone in the ditch when it fell of the car....jacob
