    Stoopid Q from a Poota Numpty

    I have clicked on 'Mark this Forum read' at least 5 times this evening. Yet, when I come back to the Poota and open 'The Vine' it shows me all these 'unread' threads. So I eagerly (like a saddo) click on them, and it takes me to posts I read when I got in from work at about half 4 (it's now half 9)!

    Ya know I love you lot (well, most of you LOL), and I love catching up, but I don't want to keep re-reading the same posts! Anyone know why this happens?

    I'm on XP Pro and Google Chrome if it makes an iota of difference. Perhaps I should learn more about how the bleep thing works LOL.

    I get the opposite. The site is set up to highlight what i haven't read since my last visit. However, if I read one forum and then leave, the next time I come back to the site all forums are de-highlighted.

        I don't know why that happens G4, but it does it on my pooter as well more often than not. I wondered if it was something to do with the Vine clock not matching my pooter clock, or, um, something else...?!

          Possibly... As I post, my Poota clock says 22:15

          ...and the Vine time is 22:29!

            G4 - when you hit Mark forum as read - press refresh straight after before leaving, it works here. If I don't press refresh the blighters stay as unread

              What is it with Pootas - I love mine, yet I hate it also!

              ...and, I hate the fact that 5 year-olds can work it better than me (46) and I've been using it for years!

                  I think it's a today thingwee.

                  Some days I don't have the go to 1st unreadoption at all and just opt for the last post and work back.

                  Today, the thingwee isn't noticing that I've already read it, again and again and... well I'm a bit slow to catch on sometimes

                    I have Vine Time, eBay Time, Pooter Time, Mobile Time, Sad Lamp Time, Car Time, Burglar Alarm Time and Alarm Clock Time ~ all different

                      E.C., I think you need to choose one of those as the 'correct' time and go with that instead of choosing whichever one tells you you're on time
