  • Say Hello and wave Goodbye

As the title says, I have been on the vine for a couple of years now and I don't think I introduced myself, so Hello everyone. Sorry for that, I was quite new to forums then

As some of you know, in November last year I was made redundant from the print/design industry, I decided to leave the trade all together, take myself back to college (at the ripe old age of 58!) and retrain as a gardener (plenty of practice with my garden)

Well twelve months on the business is going great, with several regular clients, including one large house where I am employed every week for a day and a half.

Although I still grow my own veg, the emphasis has really turned to plants and shrubs. During this winter I will have a 30' polytunnel erected to house my growing collection of plants, and to bring on seeds for next year.

Because of this I will be "leaving" the vine. I have had some really good (and bad) times on here and "met" some great characters, but all things come to an end and I will bow out and wish you all well.

I may dip in from time to time and see how you are doing, but not really post much.

If anyone wants to get in touch you can find my email in the weblink at the bottom of this post.

Have a great season next year.

I'm doing a similar thing to you, and for similar reasons - I still manage to pop in here and type some drivel most days though! Good luck with it, and don't be a stranger

Wot they all said. So glad your business has taken off so well, especially in these difficult times. You'll be snowed under once the economy starts to pick up again.
