Did anyone see the match between France and Ireland yesterday.
Ig I do say so myself it was the best rugby match I have watched in a long time.
Yes we won but it was nailbiting.
It was probably a good match to watch if you were'nt a surporter if either team but as an Irish surporter it was nerve-racking.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I did Bramble and it was grand, especially watching the poor game before hand.

With it being 62 years since the last Irish grand slam, beat Wales and its yours now.

I have no idea how England won yesterday. Worst match I have ever seen. I hope Scotland win today. Our team must be good as we have left the best kicker in the world on the bench. I think that will come back to haunt us. I think Ireland are great aswell.

I can't believe I come in here to find English supporters slagging the team - the pundits were bad enough but jeeez!!

Our team has been chopped and changed around so many times in the last three to four years, it takes time to build a strong side, we haven't had this time - give 'em a break would ya

If 'we' constantly won how boring would that be! I say we are in for an excellent tournament and so bring it on

        *waves flag

And I totally agree bramble, the Ireland France match was excellent as, I suspect, will be the Wales Scotland one this arvo

Why don't the pundits apply for the England job because they have all the answers.
My wife is Italian so we thought we would watch it but it was just terrible. If Italy had had the scrum half on from the start they could have won it. England could win the wooden spoon this year.

                    Can I just point out,
                    WE STILL WON!!!!!!
That first try after just two mins nearly had me drop my knitting.

pah, all this fussing and dissecting. Some people are never happy.

p.s. Allez les bleus - eventually......

For me it depends on how you view the game.

As an England supporter I was glad we won yesterday. But we will have to step up our game next week as the Welsh will be far more of a challenge.

As a rugby fan, the Ireland / France match was far more entertaining to watch, at least it wasn't all about aerial bombardment, people actually ran with the ball!

Just bear in mind we haven't seen the Welsh play yet and the last time they were the favourites they blew it!

Only problem is they insist on playing the games at weekends during daylight which means I will not be getting any gardening done next week either!

Only saw the first half of the Ireland France game, the natives were getting restless, so had to hand the remote control back. Looked fantastic though.

England were abysmal. No invention, no width, no continuity, lack of ability to do the basics right, lack of second phase possession etc etc. I would truly love to say that we were only missing x or y but we were missing the entire alphabet.
Yes we won, with the aid of 4 Italian errors, an Italian side who, from memory in the ten years that they have played 6 nations rugby have won 6 (?) matches in total and only 1(?) of those away from home.
I had to suffer South African commentary on the England match, which made it worse, Joel Stransky was actually laughing in the commentary box, but I would imagine the English pundits were saying the same thing. I dont know who was commenting yesterday, but would guess they have all played the game to a much higher level than most of us on here, and were saying the same as Stransky, which only reinforced what I could see with my own eyes.
I concur with PW, I dont see us finishing higher than 3rd.

I haven't watched either of the 2 matches yesterday but by all accounts the English need to step up their game if they want to go further.
It was great that the Irish beat France .It means that the biggest game left for us will be against England and we (the Irish) will have home advantage.
As I said before bring it on .
Beefy goes away to look for the highlights .
