I’m so pale skinned the chemist recommended a bandage - ho hum.
On a serious point I’ve had a few skin cancer scares so as GL said ‘smother it to saveit’

A very sensible post and a reminder to slap the sun cream on. You know it makes sense!
I work very hard so please don't expect me to think as well!

Take an umbrella. That's what they use in Philippines and it does allow a bit of fresh air.

To help keep me cool I wear a topi aka sun hat aka Pith Helmet.

This gets soaked in water and the pith soaks up the water like a sponge. As the water evaporates it cools the air and my head.

My first bee hat was a topi with a veil over the topi! The brim kept the veil well away from my face.
I looked a bit like a jungle explorer,
I also have a ?bamboo topi, that was handpainted with butterflies and flowers while I watched, by a one-legged man in the north of Thailand..............but that's a story for another day.
