  • Raised beds and a squirley path

    Just thought I would post a couple of pics of my new beds and the lovely path MrH made. Beds now have hoops for netting Its looking a bit like a real veg patch now!

    Many thanks to Zazen for telling me my pics were too big before doh! And Twosheds for great pic resizing site

      Err the ones i tried before were to big! My fault. But same ones I had posted succesfully before.........Oh well
      Will no doubt post more with hoops, then with netting......kick me when you get bored

          I think they might have put a grate on the end of the picture pipe when they did the upgrade - and what was coming through before isn't coming through now!!!

          Nice path though - very neat. Not bad for a bloke!

                  Looks great Fiona. Well done MrH. You'll enjoy those beds. So much easier to work in than the ground. And easier to net and fleece as well. Wait til you see your stuff growing in there.

                    Ive got some flat ground behind the greenhouse as well, thats where the spuds are going
                    I am loving this, good for the soul

                    As for hiring MrH out I will parcel him up and post him just as soon as hes helped put the pea netting up

                            Fiona - could I ask how you secured your hoops? Are they just pushed into the ground or did you use dowling as a support?

                              I use a bit of a stick pushed up the ends for them and push them into the ground. they seem to stay put.
