Can anyone tell me where i can see a list of plants that are allowed to be posted abroad ?

I ask as i have started selling more plants on ebay (i give up selling books) & have just sold a little RED PHYGELIUS (cape fuschia) to a buyer in Turkey but i just want to check its allowed .

You'll need to check with DEFRA- I gave them a call- and they were really helpful!( I found the pages and pages of internet info too much , just incase there was a tiny section I missed)
Turkey isn't in the EU is it?- I know it would be fine to post to France, but that's part of the EU.

I would think that somewhere on the DEFRA website would be some info - certainy about importation to UK and I would assume that perhaps links to forbidden export locations?

But that is simply out of the UK. Some seed potatoes are not allowed to be exported even to Ireland and yet presumably OK to NI.

Each country will have its own regs and I know that Australia has stringent regs regarding even the import of seeds.

To safeguard yourself I would suggest that you make mention that it is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that plants/products ordered are permitted to be imported and any taxes are also payable by them. But meanwhile see if the DEFRA website can give any indication so that you can up-front discount exports to certain countries.

Also try a few websites which do sell 'live' plants quite widely - T&M, Jungleseeds (plant and roots section), etc - there will be some forbidden places mentioned there.
