Friday is my socialising day. I meet my girly friends for a couple of hours. Today I walked into Pokemon. I don't know what else to say. I gather that 2 of them "caught" a caterpit on me. WTF. I've Googled it but it doesn't help.

It's an app that gives you a map and shows you where to go and collect the balls and then capture the pokemon. My daughter rushed to the local park to pick up 10 balls then then proceeded to capture the little blighter in the house!!

At least it's encouraging the younger generation to walk and exercise

See Pokémon GO UK guide: How to play and catch them all - including the elusive Pikachu - Mirror Online

I think it's a good way of getting people out the house.

I am so glad I read this thread - Thank You as I now know that an 'app' can be a game. forecast, horoscope, link to 'other' sites etc.

I haven't a clue about Pokemon, either the app or the cards - I'm much too old and sensible

Are your friends trying to tell you something, Janie?

Caterpie has a voracious appetite. It can devour leaves bigger than its body right before your eyes. From its antenna, this Pokémon releases a terrifically strong odor.

I loved Pokemon many years ago which I played when I was into Nintendo gameboys and stuff. I gave up gaming a long time ago because it is too addictive for me and I would waste hours on that instead of real world things. I don't touch gaming devices now because I find them as addictive as a packet of cigarettes is to a smoker. So they're banned from this house

I read about the new Pokemon Go on the news - I guess it is good if it helps to make kids more active but I hope there are not any pitfalls like young kids wandering off out of safety to collect Pokemon.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
