  • Peas for breakfast anyone??

Just been out to the garden and have brought in 62 pea pods and 73 mangetout!

Am so pleased with this as last year no peas made it inside, i didnt grow enough (they all got eaten in the garden)
So, i am gonna be able to freeze loads now.

There are loads and loads on the plants

So, i couldnt resist and had some for breakfast.

Anyone else had strange breakfasts from their garden?

If someone has lost their smile, give them one of yours. :

Children seldom misquote you. In fact they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said

God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done

not strange as such - but I love courgettes with eggs and bacon, I peel them lengthways using a spud peeler until I have a mount of thin courgette ribbons, then cook them (very quickly) in the same pan as the bacon, pile the eggs and bacon on top of them - yummmm

as for your peas, I would put some into scrambled egg

Wish I could grow peas, mine never get any where near the pea stage, I give up too soon and dont resow when they dissapear.

Veggiemama, you bring me right back to when my children were small and they loved to eat the peas straight from the pods.

There were some mornings that they went out and - yes - had some peas at breakfast time.
