  • Organic Gardening Catalogue 1988

Its not that I'm a hoarder but I've just found a copy of HDRA's Catalogue for 1988 - 25 years old
In 1988 you could buy or hire Slide sets and videos - in VHS or Betamax!
For £1.50 you could buy "The Poison Song" - a first for HDRA "Our very own single by 80s skiffle band Please Y'self as played at our official opening. Liven up your next party with the organic anthem."
How about "The Ryton Gardens House Wine case" - 12 bottles for £36.24.
    Lots of seeds of course.
    Its fascinating

    Wow

I received a copy of Nottingham Organic Gardener's 1998 Newsletter for September - and guess what the main issue was...a cold wet summer with all the crops rotting or getting slugged.

    Sigh.

OOh no - thanks but they have back editions at the office going back forever.

I am currently using all old magazines for teaching and making paper pots; trying to reduce my stash not increase it!

D@mn - I thought I was on to something there Years ago I was given a pile of gardening books that belonged to a friend's mother - it was in that along with Gertrud's book!
