  • One for us - Women gardeners!

Gardeners world has just had a Carol Klein feature on women gardeners - how lovely for us women! A real affirmation for our approach and I wish I had recorded it now! It just affirmed how I am!
Did you watch it and how did you feel?
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

If you had cable or satellite you can watch it again on BBCs i-player.
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

Thanks Jeanied, I'd forgotten all about it, I had unexpected visitors and you can't really tell them to "naff off, I want to watch the telly", I'll watch it in bed in the morning on i-Player. Thanks B.W as well. xx

Good thing about the "i-player" you can watch your program again & again if you wish to and you can still record it if you wish to.

I really enjoyed Carol Klein's programme last night. At last, something useful/enjoyable from Gardeners World!
I especially liked the herbal remedies bit. Would like to know more. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good book. Preferably old of nature, as I really want the old fashioned uses for herbs and plants. The book itself doesn't need to be old, just the content.

Thanks to Bubblewrap's tip to use bbc i player , I have watched it all again - so enjoyable and some really great ideas for trying out next year on the plot! My thoughts so far - medicinal plants - must dig out grandma's book: seed saving - need to get my 20 packets of free seeds from the rhs again: plant illustration, love to draw and paint: getting the lottie looking good with veg and flowers - already started that but will do a bit more next year!
