There may yet be competition SP - but when I've judged it then I'll probably buy myself a drink... (not that I'm saying your entry isn't competition) (I'm just not saying that...)

I'm not sure that the person who starts a competition can judge it as well? I'm not sure that's fair....

        Just saying

          I've already stated it's official...unofficial.
No where did I state it was fair.

Ive been open and honest and already had an entry from a well respected senior member of the forum.

I'm not sure what you are trying to imply?

Look, you gotta be in it to win it... So far it's between me and SP and I'm clearly ahead in the polls.

Got any cards to play Scarlet or are you just all talk...

Right, I'm investigating mine tomorrow. They've been half strangled by rouge cfbs' in the dfb patch so I might be in with a chance.......
              Another happy Nutter...

You could always do an official one with rulers and that...

Don't bother to enter, HH, 'cos I'm the winner - and I'm a respectable entrant with a pointy stick.

                    Meets all the Rules:-

1 - has to be in flower (Yes, photo on packet)
2 - has to be measured using something uncalibrated (Yes - side of ruler is not calibrated)
3 - my decision is final (Rubbish - I have the Pointy stick)
4 - has to be a sunflower (That's what it says on the packet)

                    What's my prize, Baldy?

So that's why you became a mod again

Mine are on a wink, so is it just height of flower or do I have to include length of horizontal stem?!!
                      Another happy Nutter...

It is said that we are all the same height lying down, and the same would apply to flattened sunflowers - all of which will be much shorter than Bladders' and, since he has already entered he will lose. Oh dear!! There'll be tears before bedtime.

Technicality perhaps but I'm afraid that there is clear evidence of calibration along the horizontal .. you may argue that there is no callibration along the vertical, but I refer you back to the rules (I made up) - they are concise and to the point and, unfortunately, your effort sadly fails somewhat short. I wish you better luck next time.

If only you had actually used the pointy stick... for measurement purposes

Looks like it's you and me Balder's (don't worry VC, if I win it's for all female nutters in sunshiny south or west Wales)....
                            Another happy Nutter...

Shirley, thats the point of the competition - to find the sunflower that "falls somewhat short" - ergo, I've won.

                              Nos da!!
