  • New Year new start?

I thought that maybe the carp that we've had over the last year might now be over with the start of a new decade. How wrong could I be . OH has just broken his glasses and its the lens thats broken. Only other pair he has is an old pair and he is working tomorrow (he drives all over the place). Guess thats his bonus he was getting gone then.

Mr F - a couple of years back - was looking at some water-fowl and leaning over the side of a bridge, and his lens fell out and into the water! That was an expensive bird-watch!

The lens fell out of my glasses and I didn't notice for days!

They're a very weak prescription and I only wear them to watch television.

Poor Binley, everything happens for a reason, even if we can't see it at the time. Big hugs to you, and here's hoping 2010 improves quickly for you.

I lost my glasses in the garden, couldn't find them anywhere, so I dashed to a well known high street chemist, explaining that I needed emergency replacement glasses. They gave me an eye test pretty quickly, but I had to wait nearly three weeks for the replacement glasses!! I'm long sighted with an astigmatism, so although I can 'see', I wear them all the time for driving, reading, well everything really, so that I don't get headaches.

After three weeks of wearing my prescription sunglasses in the office (and lookin' a bit silly), I picked up my new specs from the optician, went home, went out into the garden and found my old pair sitting on a flowerpot where I'd left them - Doops!!
