  • Muslins

    Where do you get yours?

They're called for in quite a few recipes - but I don't have any.

Thinking of trying some elder flower concoction at the weekend. I think muslin is a must. Lin.

I got mine from a traditional style old shop but you don't need to have proper ones. You can use a sterile thin T-towel, a clean pair of tights etc. Also, everybody I know with young kids has those little muslin squares for general mop ups etc, they're perfect and pretty cheap

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Lakeland sell them- but they're not cheap.
I got mine off a roll of fabric at a fabric outlet shop.

I'd rather use Bean's old muslin cloths that have been sicked on* than tights that have been anywhere near LadyWayne's feet. They're toxic!

                *washed of course!

i bought a packet of dishcloths for about 49p from Wilko's that did the job for last year's elderflower cordial. Just as good as muslin.

You can buy muslin in a material shop, as little or as much as you need.

What is this 'material shop' of which you speak? I don't think we have one on our retail park.
