  • managed to control the blubs!!!!

well stepdaughter is somewhere between here and Auckland......
We had a lovely weekend with her and managed not to blub too much!!! Watch out NZ and OZ Gracie's coming! (that's if she can lift her backpack - 4ft nothing and it's nearly as big as her!!!!)
A weekend of mixed emotions, will she come back? we will have to wait and see in 13 months time.....

would love to but might have to win the lotto first! although you never know, stranger things have happened at sea!!!
My youngest was worse(18) his big sis (he's 6ft4 !!!!) leaving him, although he's hoping to get a placement in America by the end of the year..................oooooo that's scary thought!

Really proud of her as she's going on her own although meeting up with some people I know along the way, just trying to get my head round the time differences now, all a bit confusing for my old brain!

You can always ask me what the time is! Altho I'll have to work out what part of the country she is in to tell you.

        She'll have great fun!

Some folk are just born brave, some are born with wider horizons than the rest of us. I seldom want to come home whenever I visit anywhere else, but I always do!

          She'll have a wonderful time, I'm sure!

Sending you a big hug. It's such a hard time for parents. I bet you feel you've had a limb cut off. No doubt she will be just fine and have a wonderful experience.

My son was talking last year about travelling round aus. taking seasonal jobs and just wandering. I said how nice. Then went home and thought.....just how many states do I have covered with all my fb friends .....really it's only NT that I'd have to worry about Mothers!
