  • Jamie !!

OK, I'm think I'm converted. I've just seen Thursday night's 'Jamie Cooks Christmas' and he seems to have lost all the annoying mannerisms that made it very difficult for me to watch him! LOVED the recipes, I've ordered a leg of pork already so now know how to stuff it, but I may have to order a turkey just to do gorgeous things with leftovers. We may well do the popcorn (whithout the chilli) for a post Christmas neighbourhood party.

The only bad thing is I spotted 'Jamie Oliver's' Olive Oil in Tesco today. So does he pick them, crush them or just put his name on the bottle?

Anyway, tonight I shall mostly be recording Jamie and watching Gardener's World. I'm a bit worried because Jamie is a repeat and he may well have been still annoying last year.

I love Jamie, admire him very much.
However I did wonder if he had gone a step too far when I saw "Jamie" magazine, exclusive to WHSmith today?!
Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.

I do like Jamie, but more now than I did early in his TV career.

I love the rapport between him and Gennaro, when they are sodding about cracks me up.

Exactly, it didn't seem faked - but what do I know! I agree I am warming to him, less pukka and f*kka and more good cooking

always been a big Jamie fan (may have to add him to my 'crush' list), and I've bought some of his books, but I get cross when he doesn't tell me what size eggs to use for a receipe. I know he's trying to get you to have a 'feel' for cooking, but sometimes, like with baking, it can be really important to use the right size.

used to find him v.irritating but was very good
think those mince pies are cracking -I also roasted some chestnuts last night afterwards ( oh how impressionable i am )
