  • I've had so much fun!!!

it has been really mild today, with no wind, perfect conditions to get started in the garden, so have spent many hours today clearing rubbish from the bottom end of the garden, all the nettles, long grass and rogue raspberrries have come out from round my raspberry/rhubarb patch.
My fingers are all pins and needles now from the nettle stings, but it is such a satisfying feeling to have made such progress!!!

Long hot bath called for now!!!

Well done that woman! Hot bath helps. I only shifted some soil and my shoulders are feeling it.

Going to have to light the fire and feed the kids first, that way it will be warm when I come out the bath, and the kids might give me peace when I am there!!!
First I need to drag myself off the computer!

I'm in the office all day, and there is only about 20 minutes of daylight left when I get home. I have to be satisfied with making endless Garden To Do lists, and looking at the week-end weather forecast with crossed fingers!

(I may sneak away early on Friday though)

youre making me jealous.....new job means long hours cant even get on here during day now...role on clocks altering doesnt that mean lighter evenings?

getting a little lighter every day, used to be dark at 4, but now it is nearly 5.30 before it gets dark
Not sure when the clocks change

Can't get anything done in the garden this week as my sister is here with me on a holiday break.
Great to have her here so will try to catch up on the gardening next week.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Every day this week I have wanted to go to the lottie but cos its half term someone is visiting or we are going places, the weather has been lovely. Monday my sister came and we got loads done in the back garden carrying on from me and oh getting rid of next doors ivy, so dont feel quite so bad. Tuesday spent day at my sisters doing nothing, today got loads of Ironing to do before I have my op, might get to lottie tomorrow and friday we have visitors but she is into gardening and wants to talk seeds etc.
The weather for the weekend I think is going to be wet.
                          Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
                          and ends with backache
