  • It's Snowing

Glanced out the window to see the car white and thought "That's funny, didn't think it was frosty last night" only to look again and see it's snowing. Very wet but it's lying.

    All together now "I'm dreaming....."

    Oh joy.
Walking 4 miles to school because the bike lanes and minor roads aren't gritted. Can't wait.

I love looking at snow, but hate having to go out and about in it. Bit too early for me as well so as Pipkins said you can keep it up there pretty please.

              Yay snow.

Contrary to popular opinion; I love watching it, going out in it, driving in it and playing in it! Admittedly I don't have to do a school run through it, but I do have to drive around the county, I just think of it as an adventure. I turn into a total child.

I am with you on that STG!
I must get extra provisions- last year it really paid off and we were fine throughout the 'snow' period. Even had enough to give out to others in need.

Mr TS was wondering why I was making so much wine (there must be 50+ bottles of it out in the garage, all nearly ready for drinking)

That was awful last winter. It seemed like only 3 roads in Norwich got gritted, multiple times a day, to suit drivers coming into the city, but they took no care of the majority of people who ditched the car (good idea) and walked/cycled in. I work 3 miles from my house and had to walk in most days, and then do my usual routine at work but without the use of the vehicle. And I still managed fine - in one day, I walked from riverside to work (3 miles) then had to walk back into the city to do some stuff for work, back to work place 3 miles away, then back home the same day. So that was 12 miles of walking in heavy snow. And the only road that was ever so slightly gritted was dereham road, and that was more the splash from the cars coming on to the path rather than the council actually gritting the walkways.

Anyway, I just booked a 2 week holiday over christmas so I'm going to be warm, relaxed and well away from the chaos.
