  • Irrational OCD

In T*sco, I just can't pick up a basket with handles clad in clear plastic. I will only take the blue uns. I know it's not rational but then I guess someone who encourages tangentisation isn't rational anyway.

When pegging out washing I have to have all the toning colours together. For example, you'll never find purple next to red, I'd rather unpeg and repeg than have to look at a clash

I think my worst one is when walking if I stand on a crack in the pavement, or a lower or higher bit, with one foot, I have to stand on something similar with the other foot or I feel uneven

I have to chew half on left hand side and half on right, walk with half right hand steps and half left; and if there are uneven numbers of stairs I have to take the last 2 at a time. Then, on the next uneven number of stairs, I have to take the 2 at a time with the other leg. And if I am eating, like a roasty dinner, I have to end with the same number of bits of things to make a mixed forkful - so if there are 3 bits of spuds, and 4 bits of parsnip then I'd have to cut the biggest potato in half. And the biggest potato bit goes with the biggest parsnip bit; and the smallest with the smallest.

It's a complicated world! And it needs evening out a little.

I like to hang up same colours together on a line too. I also arrange stuff on windowsills lined up with the middles of the frames.
