B ut I cant, why is it when you cant have something you want it more than ever. I will get through this, only 3 more hours then I will be in hospital.

Are you not allowed clear fluids? Black coffee?
Some surgeons allow clear fluids up to 2 hrs before a procedure. (6hrs for food)

Don't do it Jackie. The thing that can go wrong if you eat/drink too close to anaesthetic did go wrong for me last week (although i hadn't broken the rules) and I could have died. I still feel bloomin poorly. It's just not worth the risk.
Like Zazen says, sips of water.
