Went to Florida a few years back and bought some gorgeous wine glasses. Carried them on as hand luggage alongside my little bag of bits 'n' pieces and the check in person didn't have a problem at all. No way on earth was I trusting them to baggage handlers!

I think it must be some sort of genetic mutation that has infected the brains of the female of the species - my first wife used to say "when I'm right, I'm right, and when I'm wrong, I'm still right". Proved her wrong.
The current Mrs Rat says the same thing - but it sounds a lot scarier in a Belfast accent, so I don't think I'll argue with this one !!
