  • I learnt a new French word last night.

Since last December 25th I've had a sweety in my fridge. It came in one of the scrummy hampers that the French love. Said sweety was like a cup cake in appearance, with a chocolate base and what appeared to be a coconut cream type scoop inside the choccy.
Not a fan of coconut sweets so I'd never eaten it but it just looked too good to throw away.
Mme P asked me if she could have it last night, so of course I said yes.
I was in the front room but heard the new word from where she shouted it in the kitchen.
Apparently, the sweet wasnt a sweet at all, it was a candle.

I cant repeat the new word on here, not at all suitable.

Ooh, was it like the one that begins 'mer..' !
I once bought some soaps which looked like slices of cake for all the girls in my office & wrapped them in paper napkins & one of the girls actually took a bite out of hers!

Tbh Sue, I'm pretty bi-lingual in the swearing department, but I'd never heard that one! You're on the right lines but way too mild.
