  • I have seen my first...

I have seen my first lawnmower of spring today - in a neighbour's garden.
    Have you mown yours yet?

Ours were mowing theirs a couple of weeks ago....his Mother would not have been happy! (she's now too poorly to come home and they were preparing to let the property)

Far to wet to cut the grass here.

Same here Chris, not a chance yet. There are still two huge balls of snow on our lawn that once resembled a snowman.

I haven't yet, but did ask my wife to mow it for me yesterday. Was met with a torrent of abuse.

My lawn only stopped growing last week when the snow came. It's now been nibbled to the roots by the girls

No - my grass is quite long but I think it's still too wet to cut. Anyway, we've had drizzly rain here overnight and the forecast is for more heavy stuff to come tomorrow so it will just have to wait a bit longer!

Ours is too wet to cut- but I was considering doing it a couple of days before the snow arrived.

After the last two soggy winters our grass is more moss. I do aerate the lawn and scarify but this year it looks like I'll have to get busy with the moss killer and then scarify it to within an inch of its life.

Hoping to get on the veg. plot today and do some digging but it keeps starting to rain.
