  • I don't often start threads in here but...I finished my degree

once my registration comes through i will be a proper, grown-up Speech and Language Therapist. I've been studying for 5 and a half years and I am really proud of myself. Not bad for the woman who was in the remedial class at school.

To celebrate, Storm and I are going to Mexico......for 28 days so that is where we will be. I will drink a mojito and think of you all in the snow and ice back home.

Wow! Fabulous achievement. Many congratulations. Wonderful that you're celebrating in such style too! Have a truly fab time in Mexico - though I am of course a little envious, like any right-minded person!

    Well done.

Well done to you and have a great holiday, you deserve it after all that studying.

Congatulations Lb. Enjoy Mexico - maybe you could pick up some special chilli seeds for back home ? - though I would stick to drinking Mojitos and Tequilas myself

It was challenging but so worth it, I did an access course for 2 years at night whilst working shifts and then 3 and a half years at uni. I will be able to have Bsc (hons) and RCSLT (royal college of speech and language therapists) after my name. Just got to find a job now which isn't that easy at the moment.

I will have to sign on when i get back from Mexico!
