  • I am fed up with what seems like constant rain

OK, I know I should be grateful - we've not had any floods. But I'm really fed up with the dark wet days. Not been able to get on the garden or the lottie for more than an hour at a time, and it feels as if I'll never get it all ready for next year. Also feeling down cos I have a sore throat and earache. Still, look on the bright side - only 3 weeks to the shortest day and then it should start getting better.

      Yup. I'm fed up too.

Due to all the goings on this year my plot has been very neglected and I just want to get cracking again now I've found my mojo once more. Sadly ground is getting too darn wet!!
Hopefully better in the New Year

Just to cheer you all up, come home from work this morning and its an absolutely beautiful sunny day, bit fresh in the wind 'tis true, but lovely.

I just wish the only days it has been dry wouldn't co-incide with kids home ill or jobs I can't move so I can go out and deliver all the Avon stuff without getting double pneumonia!

The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!

The rain is getting me down too - I don't mind cold at all as you can wrap up against that but the constant rain is making doing anything outside difficult and most of the lotties on our site are partially flooded. Fortunately we're the highest one but we're still rather soggy in places.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Its rained here all day but we were expecting a parcel so I won the stay at home draw. Mr in Pots went supermarket shopping while I knitted and played in my craft room. the parcel finally arrived at 4.30.

I don't texpect you're the only one who feels like that at the moment
Treat yourself to a bottle of decent wine or whisky, or a box of choccies or whatever; send for some seed catalogues for inspiration; or get a magazine (gardening or otherwise), and relax. It'll all be fine in the spring
