Have you come across Healthy Planet bookshops yet? Its a recycling "shop" for unwanted books and you can take away 3 books absolutely free. Two of my favourite words there - books and free!!
Today I found "The Victorian Flower Garden" from the BBC series and 2 Roger Phillips plant identification books of Trees and Wild Flowers. Well worth a visit!

We had one, but it shut down recently. They got kicked out and are looking for new premises at the moment.
    Brill idea isnt it?

The one here has all sorts of things - free books, videos and magazines; and furniture, ironmongery and odds and sods for sale at silly cheap prices. They also have a book club, knitting & crochet, children's corner etc. My only problem is - I always find 4 books that I want and have great difficulty deciding which one to leave behind!
      Hope yours relocates soon!

It sounds brilliant, but there isn't one in our city, what a shame

Pontypool is our nearest Chris, wonder whether the Pontypool Grapes know anything about it?

I'm on a roll! Having dipped my toe into Freecycle yesterday, today we got on two buses and a tube (can tell we're retired eh!) and took ourselves off to Healthy Planet. Took in some good quality books and brought back some more. (although not the same quality)
There didn't appear to be a restriction on how many people took though. I saw one bloke fill his carrier bag and then walk out.
They even had a lot of new Dan Brown books on the counter.
Thanks for the heads up Veggie. We know where to go now for our holiday reading and also where to dispose of our finished books and videos.
