  • Have you got a Gloryhole under your stairs?

I have and I'm ashamed to say it's full of I'm not sure what. It really is time I had a throw out, especially when I have to fight to get the ironing board out, but I can't find the motivation. I think it's in the back of the gloryhole.

We have . Ours is full up with a shoe mountain so the ironing board is permanently up in the back room. Not that I use it very often .

Under the stairs cupboard is clean and tidy (Stepford Wife tidy) but inaccessible because the unassembled 2nd hen coop and run is in it.

Garden Shed is likewise clean and tidy.

House is indoor glory hole. Patio and garden are outdoor glory holes.

I'm not bragging. I'm very ashamed!

Guilty as charged m'lud. Understairs cupboard is full of Xmas decorations, hoover, tools, carpet off-cuts and various other "things that might come in useful". Likewise the box room. Likewise the garage.

Oh yes, and it is under the stairs (mainly, also the dining room and the shed). Full of useful bits and bobs, but I always seem to find them at the wrong time of year. Found Halloween witches rubber nose after Christmas last year. However I did have one triumph recently. Visitors dog pulled the curtain track down from my bedroom and chewed it to bits. Was sure I had some more - AND FOUND IT IN THE GLORYHOLE, COMPLETE WITH FITTINGS AND HOOKS.

Our whole house tries to be a glory-hole.
Items keep appearing that I know I haven't bought: things from eBay and the poundshop, useless things that will break.
My main hobby is seeking out these items and Freegling them.
I have a whole cupboard full of suitcases: he buys a new one each time he goes away. We had 8 at the last count (when the guy came to read the meter) and about 6 rucsacs.

Ours is called a buggy hutch for some srange family reason. It is quite sensible really with a vaccuum cleaner, torch, candles and spare bulbs.

Its quite posh too as when we revamped the hallway we ran the new flooring into it, making it draught free.

Luckily our glory hole is in our bedroom so turned it into a brilliant walk-in wardrobe.....
