    We have a new grandson!
He arrived 3 days early at 9lbs 6oz (glad he wasn't 2 weeks late!) and is a brother for Toby (just 2) and Joseph (3) - Lizzy and Dan are going to have their hands full...
They live in Hertfordshire and I have to wait for 2 weeks until Dan's paternity leave is finished and then I go to do some 'grannying' for a couple of weeks there and then onto Warwickshire for the other 3 grandchildren.

Sorry to bore you with these details but I'm so delighted I had to share!

No name yet - they've talked about Nathaniel (not too keen, personally, but trying not to show it!) but I'll let you know...

Thanks so much for your kind words - I DO like this grapevine

What gorgeous news! Many congratulations, you must all be buzzing! I think Bluemoon's expecting another grandchild today too (possibly, who knows with these things?). Could we have two new Grand-Grapes on the same day?!

Many good wishes to you all. x

Great news Grannymem. Hope Lizzy and Dan are recovering. It certainly looks like they are devils for punishment.

                  Too right!
I think the grannying will actually be the cooking, cleaning, and general dogsbodying with a fair amount of physical exercise demanded by Toby and Joseph - not too sure what their reactions to Number 3 are going to be... (Wrong time of year for much gardening, sadly.)

I was wondering how to lose a bit of weight before Christmas - I think I've found the answer....

Many congratulations, have a wonderful time grannying - I never think the housework seems to bad when there's the chance of a wonderful new baby cuddle afterwards (especially a grandchild baby!).

I'm currently waiting for the arrival of grandchildren 3 & 4 (twins due after Christmas), so I'll borrow a little of your excitement in anticipation if I may
