  • Gutted!

Offered on my local Freecycle this evening!! "Two Daleks".

I couldn't open the email quickly enough to reply, perhaps I would be the lucky recipient. Then I read..................

    >

    We have two Daleks:

    One 17cm tall which speaks
One 13cm tall which is remote control

Both in good condition and work - may need new batteries

    What a disappointment

Ignoring the height, just imagine, 2 Daleks, one that could speak and tell you when it needed turning amd the other that could move around your plot to wherever you wanted to dump the compost.
    I'm gutted for you!

We collected some allotment related items on freecycle and my OH was offered a compost bin. I still recollect the puzzled look on the offerer's face when I said 'fantastic, a dalek, just what we were looking for.'

Don't 'Dis' all things related to the Dr... (from my son, a Dr Who-crazy boy). He would have thought it Christmas to have had two Daleks.
I am lucky enough to have the allotment style Dalek in my plot... just wondering about adding bits to it to make it look like the real Macoy to entice him up to the Allotment .

Have you thought about shoving a couple of sink plungers into the sides of your compost bin? You could then hide behind the beans and using your powers of ventriloquilism, shout out 'fertilize, fertilize'. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Would be good if they had a laser zapper for slugs and snails too... exterminate...exterminate!

I used to hide behind the sofa when I was a kid and my brother would tell me when they were gone. Same with the cybermen too!

Now you are talking! That should be patented.

haha, yes,dk, I did the same 'sofa-hiding-necessary-when-darleks/cybermen-on-old-style-dr-who' ....boy were they scary in those days!!

Yes to patenting darlek... GREAT idea!! I think in the meantime I might just get son to put his cyberman helmet on and get all the slugs... encouraging him,to say (quietly) ...'you will be deleted' as he finds them... now THERE's a way of getting up to lottie.

I know someone who built a life size one and he sits in it and says 'exterminate exterminate!!' Even the lens at the end of the 'eye' works
